Shervin Pishevar discussed building a Chinese train station. It took 1,500 workers, just 9 hours to complete. He considers it a testament to the speed of global innovation.

The train station shows several advancements that result from innovation. American ingenuity astonished the old world. The Internet continues to baffle the entire world. Innovation is capable of making most any project faster, cheaper, and more dynamic.

Anyone will agree with Shervin Pishevar that the world moves faster today than it did yesterday. Speed is essential to competition. This is true for business, education, public, and private life. If one is not isolated within an independent community, then speed is a consideration. It may be bandwidth speed, commuting, learning, or production. In any regard, with new advancements, human beings seem to have less time in their day.

Both private corporations and global agencies embrace innovation for competitive advantages. This usually means economical solutions. Sometimes the only difference in providing a good or service is cost reduction . Other times it is a faster method. The world is less black and white since the Internet took the helm of innovation. Speed and production costs are not the only factors. Logistics are increasingly important. Identifying new markets are as well. Software innovations cater to all these factors.

Problem solving is not the only reason to invent. Innovation in the modern world is thoughtful. Technology professionals and enthusiasts no longer consider themselves outcasts. However, they still see themselves as different. Their innovations are much less robotic than the industrial era. Even robotics incorporate the creative side of the brain.
